Oriflame Haute Couture sets the ramp ablaze at Alcheringa



The auditorium at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), Guwahati was set ablaze by model teams from various institutes across the country flaunting their unique designs and dressing styles on the ramp of the fashion contest Oriflame Haute Couture last Sunday afternoon.

The finals of the Oriflame Haute Couture contest were conducted in two rounds, Chic and Sublime, where the student teams were allowed to design their dream dresses, choreograph the performance and walk through it. Smart and stylish, the participating teams exhibited the perfect balance of excellence, grandeur, ardour and unnerving charm that swept the audience off their feet.

While the panache of the models conquered the hearts of the beholders in the IIT auditorium, outside the auditorium Oriflame, the Title Sponsors of Haute Couture, displayed its product line in a branded kiosk, with an aim to educate the youth about its direct selling business proposition. Oriflame also organized make-up sessions & conducted fun activities to engage the audience through the four-day festival.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms Sharmili Rajput, Marketing Director, Oriflame India said, “As a brand which is natural, youthful & innovative, by sponsoring the fashion show at IIT Guwahati annual festival, Alcheringa, we now have an opportunity to build a connection with the youth of the region through product experiential activities, helping to further strengthen our brand awareness in North East.”

“This is our first such major youth-activation program in Guwahati. We do look forward to furthering our association with consumers in the region through several similar events or media tie-ups in theatre, digital etc,” she added.
